IT classroom at the Loreto School

THE PROJECT...

As a child, Wangari Maathai, Nobel Peace Prize winner in 2004 for her defence of the environment, has studied at the Loreto Girls School in Limuru. This is a secondary school exclusively for girls that provides high quality teaching. The school is supported by the former pupils who contribute with their capacities to allow access to girls with few resources.

OBJECTIVE...

Reduce the digital gap existing within the population by providing IT material.

  1. The Foundation decided to contribute with equipment and IT material in order to reduce the digital gap, equipping the library with the basic tools needed nowadays for an up-to-date training.
  2. 40 pupils can use the library with IT equipment and material for their studies.
