Maragua Hospital is located in the Muranga’s South district of the central province of Kenya. It is currently in the process of increasing the qualification from Rural Health Center to District Hospital, it is the district’s reference center with a population of 388,260 people of which there are 53,708 (13.48%) children under 5 years old and 11,906 ( 3.16%) under one year.
Morbidity is above 30% while outpatient cases for children under 5 years is 7.5%. The total number of pediatric admissions during the last year was 624 patients while the average bed occupancy was 226%.
